"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law he meditates day and night." Psa 1:1-2

Daily life is full of problems of one sort or another that can sometimes feel overwhelming. Yet amid the daily hustle and bustle of life it can be hard to find time to recharge our spiritual batteries. David wrote about meditating upon the word of God day and night, blessed indeed is the one who strives to follow this example. Thinking about the word of God and applying it to every day life, is the only antidote to the spiritual apathy that can easily beset each and every one of us.

It is hoped these short meditations covering many different aspects of life in Christ will contribute towards providing the encouragement, guidance and comfort that is so vital to healthy spiritual growth.

The Bible is the expression of our Creator's thoughts and the word of God is as Paul writes:

"is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword ... it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Heb 4:12

So profound is the effect of that Word upon the minds of sincere disciples of Jesus, that it will influence every aspect of their lives. They love the word of God so much that with David they say:  "I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word." Psa 119:15-16
